Yesterday we, some clients, and friends went to Loaves and Fishes Shelter in Maryland Heights to help with their Turkey Day Distribution. The shelter does background checks on these families to find the MOST DESERVING of the full meals. They are given all the fixings to prepare a full meal at their own houses. The shelter is for women and kids only for 90 days for temporary help until they find permanent housing. Its great to help out and even Señor Chewy added some cheer to many of the families by just saying HI. He is so good with bringing a smile. We fed 250-300 today and then they had a fully prepared meal that night for the residents of the shelter. Awesome! We will do this again at Christmas if they will give us the opportunity.
